Why A Feria?

The Feria Para Aprender (The Learning Fair) is approaching its fifth year as the nation’s largest Hispanic education and college-readiness event aimed at helping Spanish-speaking parents become key leaders of their children’s academic success.

At the LA Feria Deja Huella in 2009, more than 20,000 Spanish-speaking parents and student attendees received information on how to prepare their children and teens for college and careers. In Austin, the number of attendees surpassed 10,000.

The Feria is NOT an ordinary community or college fair. It is designed with specific strategies and goals and an event training curriculum to help a community scale its educational infrastructure to meet population changes and the workforce demands in each region.
